| Welcome to JIANHUI WU's Homepage! |
|
I'm very glad that you made it this far . . . and I hope that you'll stick around long enough to get to know just a little bit more about my life and me. After all these days, acquaintances that begin in cyberspace are often the most real, vivid, and long-lasting - and maybe that will be true of us.

Background
I was born in a small town in Jiangxi Province, CHINA, but I grew up both in the midst of well educational atmosphere and in great happiness. Before I come
to OSU, I enriched and broadened myself at Northeastern University, where I experienced the happiest time in my life.
For Ph.D., I worked with
Prof. David A. Rigney
on the study of tribological behavior of Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) based composite coatings
in collaboration with
Dr. Jeff Zabinski at
Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and
Prof. Michael
Falk at the University of Michigan.
Currently, my
research focus is on synthesis and characterization of corrosion- and
wear-resistant hard coatings together with
Prof. Malshe at the University of Arkansas. In this small space, you'll find it small wonder that I'm something of a persistent young guy. And, before we go any further, just in case (not that I'm looking to get hired, but - just in case you ARE my big break).
Here's my Resume (or in pdf file).
Interests
I guess that the best - and fastest - way to really get to know me
is by discovering what I like. So here goes . . .
I love to
climb mountains and
go hiking and sightseeing.
I adore music - especially pop hits.
I'm a greedy reader, and I think books are the source of our intelligence, So I never give up any chance to get close to the words full of philosophy and science.
Album
This is a
photographic retrospection of my life to date - a mere 28 years - as well as some wonderful snaps about my friends……
