Darling Harbour and the National Maritime Museum
January 31 and February 8

These first few pictures are from the final day of the Chinese New Year
festival where they had the dancing dragons on boats and some boat races.

Then, there are pictures from the day I went to the Maritime Museum.
The museum includes a tour of a WWII destroyer (interesting tour) and
submarine (not that great). The museum includes a big portion of US Navy
Pacific operations, as a gift from former President Bush to Australia for
its bicentennial in 1988. There were some neat movies about WWII.

It's hard to see, but the submarine (HMAS Vampire) is in front of the
destroyer (HMAS Wombat). The museum itself is in the background.

This is a relic from the famous/infamous annual "Beer Can Regatta" held
in Darwin.
