Coogee Bay Beach, Bondi Beach,
and the Cliff Walk Inbetween
Jan 9, 10, and 18
These beaches are within walking distance of me but are a long walk. Coogee
is the closest beach to me (~25 minute walk) and Bondi is the probably the
most popular beach in Sydney.

The walk to Coogee can be tiring due to some big changes in elevation.

A first glimpse of Coogee Bay Beach.

Coogee Beach. On this day it was supposed to rain but didn't -- normally there
are a lot more people here. After this picture was taken, a bunch of clouds
rolled in and it got too cold to have you shirt off, so everyone kind of got up
and left at about the same time.
The day of the cliff walk from Coogee to Bondi
I went with Louise Meure (from my research group), her husband Sam, and her
sister Katherine. To do it before it got too hot, we left at 7:30am (yes I
really did get up that early on a weekend).

In the background is Coogee Bay Beach.

Again, Coogee Bay Beach.

Here is Clovelly, a concrete area (there's a tiny beach way back there) where
we jumped off to go swimming/snorkelling.

Again, Clovelly.

This is Waverley Cemetery.

Sam Meure and I stopping along the way for a picture.

Finally, we arrived to the massive Bondi Beach. Sam is seen here getting his
camera out of his bag to get some shots of the beautiful view. We stopped here
to get some well-deserved lunch and it was excellent.
