Invitation to CUCHE-3
From the first Joint China/USA Chemical Engineering Conference (CUChE-1), originally instituted in 1982 by Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China (CIESC) and American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), to CUChE-3 these serial conferences have seen exchange of views and research results in Chemical Engineering between USA and China. After successfully holding CUChE-2 in 1997, CIESC and AIChE decided to hold CUChE-3 on Sep. 25-28, 2000. The theme of CUChE-3 is Chemical Engineering for the 21th Century. Participants from other countries are cordially welcome to participate.
SCOPE
Contributions in the following areas are encouraged:
The conference will include plenary sessions, oral and poster presentations.
General Information
Time and Place
The conference will be held from September 25(Mon.) to 28(Tue.), 2000 at the BEIJING FRIENDSHIP HOTEL. (3 Bai Shi Qiao Road Beijing, China)
The opening ceremony, all scientific sessions and posters will hold at the Beijing Friendship Hotel. The Beijing Friendship Hotel is located in the North west part of Beijing, which 25-minute drive from downtown and about 45 minute drive from the Capital Airport.
Working Language
The working language of the conference will be English.
Manuscripts and Proceedings
The Proceeding of the Conference will be published in September 2000. Please note that the session chair will take care of selection papers. Extended summary (4 pages Camera-ready) for the Proceedings should be sent to the session chairs prior to April 1, 2000. Format of the camera-ready manuscript can be found in Microsoft Word file. The speakers in the US and from other countries do not need to do a camera-ready manuscripts. Instead, they can simply send electronically the manuscripts.Microsoft Word RTF format file is acceptable for publication. The typing format of the manuscripts is attached in this Circular.
Posters
Poster papers can be presented in free format. Each poster will be assigned to one board, which are 0.6 meter wide and 0.9 meter high. Poster should be brought to the Conference and attached to the boards by the authors themselves.
Facilities for Conference
Standard projection facilities for 35-mm slides and overhead projector for transparent sheets as well as computer projector will be available in all meeting rooms.
Pre-registration
Each participant is kindly required to complete a separate REGISTRATION FORM and return it, together with the copy of bank’s receipt of your payment for the Conference, to the Secretariat before July 25, 2000, if you use the bank transfer. The registration from will send to you later.
Accompanying Persons Program
Delegates are invited to bring accompanying persons (family and friends). 3 days and 5 days sightseeing arrangements will be available. The tours include Zhong NanHai(Mao Zedong’s house), YongHe Temple (Tibet temple style), Museums, the Great Wall, Ming Tombs, Palace Museum, Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace.

Notes:

2) Corresponding carriers may adjust the above listed flight timetables in the coming year. Hence, accurate flights time for year 2000 will be based on the most updated flight timetable by then. The travel service reserves the right to reasonably adjust the package rate if related government policy changes.
